LET THE LORD HAVE HIS WAY

life-changingLET THE LORD HAVE HIS WAY. (Numbers 10:33-36).

Man is afraid of the unknown and that is why many hardly venture out of familiar turfs. Many will stick to old, failing traditions and reject salvation because they are not sure whether things will be better in the new way. Many will only venture into a new thing, journey to an unknown destination, engage in a new business if there is a guide.

The children of Israel were traveling to Canaan, the land God promised to give to them for inheritance. However, the road was not familiar to them. They needed guidance. Moses had requested that his father in-law, Hobab, should come with them and be a guide but he refused (verse 29-32). Hobab’s refusal did not mean God’s abandonment of His people. In fact, they believed God and His presence went with them everyday. Think to God going with you everyday to search out a resting place for you. It is possible. Just let him have his way.

However, for you to enjoy the abiding presence of the Omnipotent, you must trust Him to lead you in the right way. The children of Israel knew Him as their God and they followed His leading.

When you trust in God implicitly, then He will arise in the fullness of His awesome power to scatter your enemies as you go through life. Though life can be full of many surprises, God’s presence will guarantee you rest (peace) along the way.

Just let him have His way. Remember He created you and the world and He also owns the whole world. Just acknowledge Him in all your endeavors and He will give you the best.(proverbs 3:5-6).

Once again I assure you He will never leave you alone.

LAYING FOUNDATION FOR PROSPERITY

life-changingLAYING FOUNDATION FOR PROSPERITY

To every building no matter how significant it is, there is a foundation for it. The foundation is the beginning of it. The quality of the concrete, the pillar erected for it and the shape or structural design determines the strength of the building. This illustration is relevantly applicable to a person aspiring to prosper in life. To anything that we are going to become tomorrow, there is a foundation for it which serves as the beginning. In this New Year it is coming to us as an opportunity to make a solid foundation if we must prosper. Whatever foundation we lay at the beginning it is going to affect our aspired prosperity down this year 2007. The Bible says, “If the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do”. The question now is how do we lay a good foundation? As a believer, it is important for us to know that all our hope is built on that solid rock which is Jesus Christ. This is the true foundation that can ensure our unimaginable prosperity.

Now there is every need for us to lunch into this year with full preparedness. We can see this from the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. He went into full force fasting and prayer for forty days and nights before He began His most successful mission on earth. Our own may not be in form of fasting and prayer but we should allow our hope to be built only on the word of God which is His perfect will. By doing this we are lunching profitable into the New Year towards our prosperity.

Look at what Psalm 1:1-3 said, verse 1 and 2 of it talks about walking, standing and sitting which are the most common three things we do in life. The verses restrict us not to walk, stand, and sit in the congregation of sinners. In verse 3 we were told what we should do. That we should dwell only on the word of God in order to be blessed. The prosperity and riches we need in this year are hidden in the word of God. The only way to prosper more than last year is to move closer to God’s will and to put our total trust in Him.

In addition to this, there is a need for us to WORK if we must prosper in this year. The bible says faith without work is dead. That God is going to help us does not mean we should not work. Look at what happened to Moses in Exo 17:9-13. It was a story about how Israelite escaped defeat and destruction through Moses who suffered painfully in order to ensure their total victory. Now before this time God told Moses that they are going to win the battle. He only instructed him to raise his rod up. As long as he raise up the Israelite prevails and as soon as the rod is down the Amelek prevails (verse 11) The message here is despite the promise of God on us, we till need to work our ways towards the prosperity He has ensured us. If we read that verse 12 very well we shall discover that Moses prevail because he worked, because he endured the pains of raising the rod up till the end of the battle. Your own rod is in your hand today, raise it up and never let it down till your prosperity in this New Year will be ascertained.

POWER FOR GREATNESS

life-changingPOWER FOR GREATNESS

Anyone who wants to be great will have to take certain steps. Greatness is a ladder which you must climb. A step at a time will get you to the zenith. And while climbing to greatness, you do not look back. The past is gone. But the present must be tackled with proper zeal and commitment.

FORGET THE PAST AND FACE THE PRESENT

A driver who is driving a car can not afford to concentrate on the rear-view mirror. If he or she does, catastrophe and disaster is inevitable. In the same vein, a man or woman on the ladder of greatness will not give up, but will rather climb from one level to another. Apostle Paul has and enriching testimony of remaining in steadfastness towards becoming great.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:13-14.

Believers who desire greatness will need to bury the past mistakes and fruitlessness, so that the future can be bright. Don’t remember the former things, because great and excellent things lie ahead of you. Another passage of the scriptures says

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth:
Shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the
deserts. Isaiah 43:18-19.

Don’t limit the power of god by keeping yourself in captivity. You have been released from the grip of the devil, for greatness. God wants to do a new thing in your life and so the time for you to sing a new song has come.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE

life-changingTHE SAFEST PLACE TO BE

“...... Those that thou gavest me I have kept and none of them is lost….” (John 17:12b). The safest place to be is in the PALM OF HIS HAND because in there, there is warmth, security, love and comfort. He guides and guards his own jealously, the account has it that all those who worked with him while He was on earth none was lost except the son of perdition. Through out his days with the disciples, if there was anything they (the disciples) were sure of, it was safety or security.

In mark 4; 35-40 we saw another instance where Jesus displayed his concern for his disciples, the Bible recorded that there was a great storm that almost sank their boat but Jesus brought calmness. What is that storm that has torn you apart or is almost tearing you apart? The storm calmer is just waiting by you to calm the storm. He wants to show you how much he cares. He wants to do it in a way that the people around you will stand in awe of Him (they will marvel).

Again, in mattew 14:22-31 His compassion was shown. Peter asks the Lord to bid him to come on the sea if actually He (Jesus) was the one walking on the sea. Jesus said “COME” and Peter stepped out in faith and started walking towards Him but when he realized where he was, he began to sink. The bible recorded that he cried out unto Jesus and Jesus held his hand and delivered him. The security He provides is the perfect one which no man can gain say. Are you sinking already? Does the mountain attempting to fall on you? Is your wall crushing down on you? Why not cry out right now and enjoy His permanent security this year and the years to come.

STORMS ARE CROSSROADS

life-changingSTORMS ARE CROSS ROADS

When storms come your way in life, it doesn’t mean the end of the journey. They don’t have power to terminate your journey abruptly. You need to understand that storms are just cross roads. The reason the devil is not important in the journey of life is because he is limited. He is longest loser and defeated foe. So why magnify him? While he is the author of storms, Jesus is the author of peace. At the end of every storm is peace, calmness, miracles, just as you have light after darkness. From every storm in life, God will give supernatural surprises-MIRACLE.

There is always a journey to the other side in your moving from night to day. The storms arise because they are only afraid that you are getting too soon to the other side and when you get over to the other side; they can’t catch up with you any more. That’s why the devil gets so crazy. Storms therefore, are signals that one is overdue in a particular phase any should go over to the other side.

And straight way jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. Mathew 14:22. The other side is the place of supernatural surprises, where miracles are abundant. It is the land that flows with mild and honey that’s the SUCCESS ZONE. This is the place God can touch you. Don’t try to miss it.

HOW TO FINISH WELL

life-changingHOW TO FINISH WELL.

Of all the people well, the Lord Jesus Christ has pre-eminence Jn.17:4. He finished well because He conquered all the obstacles to finishing well. The obstacles to finishing well are in three major categories.

Satan and his cohorts. The devil does not want you to finish well and he will do anything within his power to make sure that you fail. 1 peter 5;8-9. However, we thank God that Jesus has conquered Satan and handed deliverance to those of us who would have finished poorly because of Satan and his host Luke 22:31-32.

Sin. Adultery, fornication, jealousy, envy, falsification of records, pride, stealing, strife, and so forth come under this category. Jesus conquered sin for us Heb 4:14-15, Jn 14:30. Sin should not have dominion over us because our Captain has conquered sin for us. Rom. 6:8-14, Col 3:5-6.

The world and all it can offer. The greatest temptation that the Lord Jesus Christ faced was in this category. Matt. 4:8-10. We thank God; Jesus was able to defeat the enemy Jn 16:33. Many people who failed to finish well in the bible failed when it came to the issue of the world 2 Tim. 4:10; Acts 1:15-20. This is why the scriptures warn us against the love of this world and the things that are in this world 1 Jn. 2:15-17.

Conclusively, we are able to overcome all obstacles to finishing well through the Lord Jesus Christ Phil 4; 13. Let us call on the One who has gone through this way and finished well to help us.
